Kilmurry village is a complex of terraced houses in landscaped grounds close to the UL Sports Arena and some of the outdoor sports facilities. This is a great place to stay if you want to be on the track or in the pool before breakfast! Tennis courts and playing fields are all located adjacent to the village. The Village has its own launderette and a large meeting hall.

Special Olympics Ireland 2014

Special Olympics 2010 - Dave Mahedy UL

We are delighted to welcome Special Olympics Ireland back to the University of Limerick campus in 2014. This event was held in Limerick for the 2010 National games for the first time.  All 1,900 competing athletes and their coaches stayed at the University of Limerick campus accommodation.  The village style accommodation provided easy access to most of the sporting events and all the catering requirements for the residents.  The University campus became the Special Olympics Village for the duration of the games which ran from 9th - 13th June 2010. 13 sports competitions included;  Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Bocce, Bowling, Equestrian, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Table Tennis, Pitch & Putt and Kayaking.
